artist statement
My current artistic work revolves around the glitch, the corrupted, the broken. Those errors of man, replicated onto machine, that are often shamed and hidden. My goal with my art is to embrace the glitch for its unabashed pride and joy in who it is. I embrace technology, as one of the first generations who grew up surrounded by it, unrestricted and free. It also delves into the nostalgia of old technology and games played when I was a child, works like hero and ISLAND PARADISE base itself on my childhood and making something unfamiliar with the work I've made. My work is digital, often made with the assistance of corruption-based software, such as the Real-Time Corrupter. Video works are edited using Adobe Premiere Pro, often with numerical timing based on the message of the piece.
